Dear Potential New Members,
Thank you so much for visiting the Recruitment page of Zeta Tau Alpha’s website! Here at the Gamma Rho chapter, the countdown to recruitment has certainly begun and we cannot wait to meet each and every one of you. Panhellenic recruitment week is an exciting and magical time among our chapter and others at Auburn. We truly treasure the time we spend together as members as well as the genuine connections we make when welcoming each PNM into our home.
I want to personally thank each of you for taking a giant leap of faith in signing up to go through the recruitment process! Formal recruitment is long and will almost definitely be full of moments that are exhausting and emotionally trying (believe me, every sorority woman gets it) but every second of anxiety and anticipation will be worth it when you open your bid and get to sprint home to your new sisters. When I pulled the cover off of my bid day sheet and saw the letters “ZTA” in that big, blue font I couldn’t contain my excitement, and the other four lucky ladies in my pi chi group who went ZTA and I ran as fast as we could to meet the women we would immediately learn to love and grow with for the rest of our time at Auburn. Best. Day. Ever. Fast-forward to now – my sisters in ZTA have given me the opportunity to lead them through recruitment, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to repay our chapter for the endless things it’s brought to me. Because of Gamma Rho, I have incredible, authentic friendships, an amazing big, little, and grand-little, countless career connections and more. Not to mention, I attribute so much of the woman I’ve been shaped into over the last three years to the values I’ve learned here in ZTA. This chapter has truly given me so much to be thankful for, and my hope for each of you is that you find exactly this and more in whichever chapter you end up calling “home.” During recruitment I encourage you to take a deep breath, stay true to yourself, and follow your heart. I wish you the best of luck and I cannot wait to meet you this August!
War Eagle & Zeta Love and Mine,
meet our 2018 new member educator!
Meet our 2018-2019
My name is Summer Tate, and I am this years New Member Educator for Zeta Tau Alpha Gamma Rho Chapter. I am a Junior majoring in Communications and minoring in Business. I love my Auburn community, and I would never be the women I am today without this amazing city and my Zeta tau Alpha sisters.
This upcoming fall I am honored to lead each new member through their first semester of college. I want each member to feel comfortable, loved, wanted, stress-free, and confident. My job is to educate the New Members about ZTA’s lifelong traditions, sisterhood, and values. I will be alongside each member to console them on their hard days and cheer them on during their best days.
I made some of my best memories of being a Zeta Tau Alpha during my New Member experience. Most of all, I grew. I grew into an even harder working student, and I developed an amazing love for my Auburn community and my fellow sisters. I am so excited to watch the New Members gain the same life giving experience!
